  • March, 2006. Patti Halstead has donated her time and talent to the Great Explorations Museum Pelicans on Parade project. She was asked to design unique custom artwork.
  • February, 2006. Patti Halstead has donated her time and talent to the Florida Orchestra Showhouse. She created two unique finishes for this designers showcase.
  • May, 2005. Finished the restoration of the 12th century church, St. Andre de Majencoules, France.
  • Patti Halstead has completed her studies in fresco painting with Master Instructor Laurent Souza, Gange, France.
  • November, 2004. At the 2004 Fauxcademy Awards in Las Vegas, Nevada, Patti Halstead received the following awards:

  • Visit Byblos Cafe in South Tampa, Florida, where Patti has created ornate surface designs to enhance the decor.
  • Visit the Centro Ecological, Akumal, Mexico, where a mural of endangered species and Mayan inspired glyphs was created by Patti Halstead and Abby Kent.

Patti Halstead is nationally recognized as one of the top surface designers in the country.

Patti is a gifted interior designer, and has a bachelor's degree in visual arts. After graduation, she worked for the top architectural firm in Atlanta. Within a few years, Patti became head of the interior design department at another major Atlanta firm.

Patti is the daughter of an architect, and has spent most of her life in and around the design field. She is the creator of and original installer for Home Depot Expo's national faux finishing program. She has studied classical faux finishes in Italy and fresco painting in France, and teaches classes for professional faux finishers in the United States and internationally.

Patti has extensive experience in both commercial and high-end residential surface design. Her unique finishes combine a flair for both color and perspective that boldly sets her work apart, and gives her clients the "one-of-a-kind" look that they desire.

John Schnell is an award-winning adventure travel photographer. His images have appeared in Audubon, Nature Conservancy, and Sierra Club Calendars, and numerous periodicals — including Alaska Magazine, Defenders of Wilderness, and Yoga Journal.

A successful marketing professional, John sold e-business systems for IBM, fault-tolerant servers for NEC, and medical imaging solutions for SGI. As a Peace Corps Business Advisor in Africa (1997-1998), he trained aspiring students in entrepreneurship. A gifted instructor, John later taught marketing and international marketing at the University of Alaska (2003-2004).
